How to grate Ginger

How to Grate Ginger

In this section I have mentioned how to grate ginger without the usual mixer grinder method.

  • Choose fresh and bright coloured  Ginger. Do not take dark and wrinkled Ginger.
  • Clean the Ginger thoroughly under the tap water.
  • Use a brush or a toothbrush for cleaning if it is not clean.
  • If you like to dry it then, make it dry with tissue paper, as it soaks extra moisture.
  • Ginger can be grated without making it dry. It is upon each persons desire.
  • But do not use any type of microwave to dry the Ginger.
  • This process will be the same for every method, we have listed below.
  • Below pic is for peeling of ginger by spoon. In the last section there is a video for the same method.
  • Ginger is a root of a plant called Zingiber officinale (1) and hence the above process will clean it thoroughly. Ginger has very limited side effects (2) and  hence its on the FDA safe list (3). Ginger has many benefits ( Click here to know about it).
